Before launching Joined Up Intelligence, Paul held senior roles across the insurance industry, building deep insight into generating business, operational efficiencies, and leading teams of insurance and IT professionals to create measurable value.

Focusing on the use of IT as an enabler of business and using technology to do business more efficiently and cost effectively with an emphasis on volume in a very competitive market place.

  • Operational efficiency through RPA and bespoke in‑house tooling.
  • Security programmes including Cyber Essentials/Plus and ISO27001.
  • Marketing leadership and early PCW partnerships for new business growth.
  • Procurement and Budgeting with responsibility for multi-million pound budgets and contracts across the gamut of IT, working closely with Finance business leaders.

Mergers and acquisitions

Paul has extensive M&A experience as both buyer and seller, including private equity investment. He supported the sale of Wilsons Insurance Brokers to Inflexion Private Equity Partners, forming the Bollington Wilson Group. Following the merger with Bollington Insurance Brokers, he led IT due diligence for multiple acquisitions and supported the group’s ultimate acquisition by A J Gallagher.
